Brief Answer:
Get evaluated by a neurologist

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concern.
Unilateral headache with normal CT at this age can be due to giant cell arteritis, primary headache or sinus related headache.
Get an ESR testing.
Any history of visual loss?
Any snoring while sleeping?
Any fever?
Any sleep disturbances?
Amitriptyline or sertraline can be taken in night.
Evaluation by a neurologist will be helpful.
Hope you found the answer helpful.

Could all the secretions be caused by sinus/ allergies, even though ct scan showed clear sinus cavities?

Also air conditioning makes him feel worse
