Brief Answer:
Best to confirm or rule-out DVT

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Tight, swollen, painful calf without an obvious injury is most probably due to DVT that is deep vein thrombosis unless proved otherwise.

Hence I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Please rush to ER or Hospital as you need an urgent ultrasonography and color doppler of the affected part to make sure what the diagnosis is.
Take plenty of oral fluids as dehydration should not be allowed to set in.
If you have Aspirin in house then take one fourth (1/4th) if the one available is 325.
Do not stretch or massage the part.
This is urgent as if DVT is found you get timely treatment.
If this is not DVT then we are sure that there is not a very serious problem.

I hope this answer helps you to get an earliest proper diagnosis.
Please get the relevant investigations and Color doppler at the earliest and please give feedback.
With Regards,
Awaiting for your feedback.
