Question: my elderly mother is 89yrs old. She bumped her leg at hm in oct 2017. she developed a bruise at ankle bone. It turned purple, then red inflamed. Had a fever, chills but saw no dr. next bruise turned dark purple, spread up the ankle, painful. She developed a cyst, marble size. the wound was lanced, drained. saw Open wound Care Dr. give antibiotics, pain pills. since then the cysts & infection reappears. will not go away. this has been an on going process. Has now delevoped dots around the cysts that ouze a pus like sticky gunk. Now she has a cyst close to both elbows. She has been on continuous antibiotics. Nothing as helped her condition.
