Brief Answer:
Correct dose; bleeding and cramping within few hrs

Detailed Answer:
Hello sir and welcome.

Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query and would like you to know that I am here to help.

The mifegest kit contains 5 pills in total. One pill of mifepristone which has to be taken first, followed by 4 pills of misoprostol, which have to be taken within 48 hours of the consumption of the first pill (mifepristone). These 4 pills of misoprostol are taken in gaps, and two at a time.

The dosage mentioned by you is correct sir. The most important aspect of using the mifegest kit is to make sure the woman is not more than 9 weeks pregnant.

On consumption of all 5 pills, bleeding and abdominal cramping is usually experienced as early as within a few minutes. The average time is found to be around 6 hours after taking all the pills that a woman aborts. Although some women can take longer. In more than 96 % of women, the abortion is complete within 2 weeks time.

No other medication is required to be taken along with this sir. The process is sometimes slow and painful, please be patient and if at all you are worried about excessive bleeding, report to an emergency room (ER).

I hope you find my response both helpful and informative. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications, I would be more than happy to help you.

Best wishes.

Brief Answer:
No precautions required as such sir

Detailed Answer:
Hello once again sir.

There are no precautions in diet or lifestyle required now sir. The symptoms she is experiencing are purely due to a hormonal fluctuation.

As for future precautions, all that requires care is when she begins to bleed. Once the bleeding starts, she might have to monitor her bleeding in order not to lose too much blood. The bleeding can continur for a day or two. But if it lasts for a longer duration and/or is very heavy. Please report to her prescribing doctor just to make sure all is well.

I hope this information helps you sir. Please also speak to your doctor about contraception and birth control, which can help you prevent the whole ordeal in the future.

Wishing you the best.

Brief Answer:
Do not worry sir, it happens

Detailed Answer:
Hello once again sir.

As I had mentioned earlier sir. Some women do not miscarry in the expected amount of time. Usually, a woman on the mifegest kit miscarries 6-8 hours after taken the last pill. Some women do take longer, 24-48 hours and sometimes even longer. But if your wife does not start bleeding in the given time, then it would be best to report to her prescribing doctor for an evaluation and if required a preacription for pills again.

Do not worry sir, this happens. Be patient and report to the doctor who prescribed the pills if it takes longer than usual.

Hope this helps sir.

Best wishes.
