Question: Hi Dr., I was seen in a emergency and my blood work look off but they said everything is fine. I have attached photos and curious why or if this is normal. I'm taking Antibiotics for sinus infection but CT shows no infection now. I been taking 10mg of steroids. I'm never cold but the last 2 days I been shivering... please help thanks Dave

I took a look at what looks like an automated differential of a complete blood count. If you recently had an infection, that would explain the mildly low lymphocyte count and mildly elevated monocyte count. Also, steroids suppress lymphocytes. Given that you have a reason for this (a recent infection and steroids), it is not cause for concern. You can get a repeat CBC with differential in about 6 weeks during a time you don't have a cold or infection, just to make sure things have returned to normal.
