How Must A Crusty, Pinkish Patch On My Skin Along With Slight Bleeding At The Hip Near The Groin Area Be Treated?
Question: I have a crusty, pinkish patch on my skin. It appeared 3 weeks ago. It has a tiny, tiny black dot in the middle of it. It seems to be getting larger. Before the patch appeared, I scratched at the dot (this was about 3.5 weeks ago) and it actually bled a bit. It is so small, the size of a hair, and it seems to go under the skin, like a splinter. The patch itself seems to respond to antifungal treatment, but then it comes right back within a couple of hours, just as bad as before. Is this a fungus? How do I treat it?
I forgot to mention that the skin patch is located on my hip near my groin.
Oh... And you will notice, around the patch, there are red lines? Those are from a bandaid I wore on it, to keep the fungal cream in place. I have sense opted to not wear a bandaid and instead to apply regularly.

I have gone through your complaints and reviewed the attached photograph.
It is not looking like fungal infection.
It looks like an eczematous patch.
If I was your treating doctor I would recommend you to apply potent topical steroid like clobetasol propionate cream on the affected area twice daily for 2 weeks.
If the patch is associated with itching take antihistaminic like tablet cetrizine 10 mg once daily for few days.
This should improve it.
Topical steroids are prescription drugs and you need to see the doctor in person to get them.

The skin area is not dry and it does not itch. Could it still be eczema?
