Brief Answer:
These two drugs should not be taken together as per clinical guidelines.

Detailed Answer:
Hi...
Welcome to "Ask a Doctor"service.
I am Dr Ajeet XXXXXXX

I have gone through your query and here is my opinion.

Frankly,as per clinical policies and procedures, these two drugs should not be taken together and may cause an augmented central nervous system depression, respiratory failure.drowsiness, coma and death.
But people do combine them in spite of the risks involved.

Half life of Xanax is approximately 12 hours and thereafter it starts getting metabolized and leaving the system. The risks would significantly reduced if she takes Suboxone after about 20 to 22 hours of Xanax (provided she does not take any other sedatives or alcohol during this period)
But as it might be risky and life threatening,I would advise you to consult your physician.

Hope that I have answered your query.

Stay healthy and stay blessed.
Regards
