Question: Hi,bad case eczema taking omnacorlt 40 mg .how long can I take 40 mg then move to 20 mg.how long can I be on omnacortil .

I generally recommend using Omnicortil for 5 days and if better in that time you don't need to taper it.
If after 5 days you are not better, you can use it for 7 days and then start lowering the dose with 5 mg every day so 14 days treatment in total.

You should also consider using topical steroids. Start with using a mild one like Hydrocortisone or Triamcinolone, applying thin layer twice/day.

If worse or not better, I would recommend seeing a local doctor. Steroids have many side effects, so they are the last resource we use after trying first topical steroids and emollient creams.
