Brief Answer:
Full recovery takes 3 months.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Every patient is different so every is healing individually.
Generally after the laparoscopic gallstones surgery, the patient is discharged from the hospital next day. This day is hard as the abdomen is quite painful. The pain subsides in next few days. You should be able to eat normally 2-3 days after the surgery.
The stitches are usually removed 7-10 days after the surgery. For 3 months you should not weight any heavy objects otherwise you may have a hernia in the umbilicus.
in first 3 months after the surgery you may have diarrhea and some stomach problems. That is why liver diet (no fried, no fatty foods) is necessary.

We can say that the whole process takes 3 months.

Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
