Question: How low does low blood sugar go in case of insulinoma and does an insulinoma show on a ct scan? Thanks

I suppose when you mean to ask how does the low blood sugar problem, which is the hallmark of insulinoma, get cured.

If that is what you are asking then the answer is surgery ie surgical removal of the insulinoma is the best option.

If for whatever reason surgery cannot be done, then there are some medications such as diazoxide for example which may help. But the fact about insulinoma is that medication is rarely, if ever , fully sufficient to control the low blood sugar problem due to insulinoma.

Regarding whether an insulinoma can be seen on CT scan the answer is likely yes, although sometimes it may not and other methods such as EUS (Endoscopic UltraSound) becomes necessary.
