How Long Does Recovery From Bronchitis Take?

default
Posted on Fri, 17 Jun 2016
Question: Started month or more ago riding in car with 'attach' feeling of band under ribs, unable to take full breath. Lasted a few hours. Smoke from fires in air then made breathing difficult. Felt like a tight band across chest on a 2.5 mile hike. Notice sounding like sick goose when forced exhale. Difficult to breath when sitting up in bed, had to stand and lean over to catch breath. For week felt like a bar running from my throat to chest was being pushed in on. Lobelia and honey helped. That cleared and went back feeling band across base of ribs. Walk and jog made feel better yesterday afternoon. Now breath difficult, like pushing on center of chest/breast bone and something pushing up from bottom ribs. No weight loss. Pulmonary test showed exhale anomaly (or obstruction).

Brief Answer:
Do you smoke?

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your follow up question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
If your PFT (pulmonary function test) shows anomaly in exhalation, this means you are having obstructive Airway defect (bronchitis).
And all these symptoms can be seen in bronchitis.
So please let me know
1. Do you smoke?
2. Are you taking any drugs for this?
Please reply me answers of above asked questions, so that I can guide you better.
I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
