How Long Does It Take To Get Result Of An Ultrasound Report?
Question: I asked the doctor earlier about right testicle numbness, he suggested a few things it could be and said should get an ultrasound. so my question is will I get the results of the ultrasound while im there. or does it take a couple of weeks for results?

the other doctor said it could be varicocele. said surgery required if that. what does that intale. do I get put under or am I awake. and outpatient?. could you tell me in short what happens

Hi. The other Doctor was right. You might need surgery if it comes out to be a Varicocele. But only if you have pain or symptoms due to the Varicocele. Many types of surgeries can be done for it. Most are done under Spinal anesthesia with a needle in the back which does not cause much pain and lower half of the body becomes numb. Some Centres do it as a day care procedure while most advice admission to hospital for a day or two. It is not a major surgery and you need not worry. And you should decide upon surgery only if you have pain otherwise you dont need to get it operated. The commonest reason why Varicocele surgery is done is for infertility. you say I might not need surgery if I have varicocele. so how is it cured if I don't have surgery. I don't have pain just pressure or numbness
