Brief Answer:
Usually heals in 2-3 weeks.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
A knee sprain usually heals in 2-3 weeks if proper rest is provided. It cannot cause a pain at the middle of the thigh. It usually does not pain on touching. A deep pressure on the area or walking can cause a pain. But this all subsides in 2-3 weeks after the injury.
If there is no swelling and you can walk without a pain then it can be a soft tissue injury in the area you are pointing. This can be due to a muscle spasm also. A hot compress and local analgesic gel should help.
I hope this answers your query.
