Brief Answer:
Healing from fracture

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for contacting HCM

You are concerned about how long it will take for a fracture 5th toe. Fractures of the toe are very common and will usually take 4-6 weeks to completely heal. In order to treat a fractured toe we routinely recommend buddy taping the toe to the adjacent toe This provides a natural splint and allows for good healing. If you have any additional medical problems like diabetes then the healing may take longer and may need additional observation by your doctor

I recommend you buddy tape the toe and repeat your x-ray in 4-6 weeks to be sure the bone is healing.

For pain you can use Tylenol or Naprosyn.
