Brief Answer:
Optimistically a month

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thank you for the question.

A stone in the mid pole region will pass off easily if it is less than 5mm, the chances are more than 80%. If the stone is over 6 mm the odds of it passing would remain the same. You should also consider the observer's bias (sonologist) who measured the stone during the scan.
So if you are already taking good amount of water, there is high chance it pass within a month's time.

it was read by the radiologist as a 6mm stone, so I know it's accurate. if I push fluids will this help move it along quicker?

Brief Answer:
Yes

Detailed Answer:
if you increase non carbonated, non caffeinated drinks it would be flushed away further. You can get a follow up Ultrasound to see where it is. Beside Ultrasound is relatively safe. The Ureter has kinks so you may check if it is lodged somewhere else and the size as well.

Let me know if you have queries.
