Brief Answer:
I would explain as follows:

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!

Regarding your concern, I would explain that it will take only 6 hours to start its effect.

What dose are you taking?

What are your actual blood pressure values?

Usually it takes up to a week 4-5days to show its real effect on the blood pressure. This time is necessary for almost all antihypertensive drugs.

If your blood pressure is still above the normal ranges (135/85mm Hg) after 4-5 days after the last therapy modifications (for example losartan starting), further changes to the antihypertensive therapy should be considered.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

Kind regards,

Dr. Iliri
