How Long Does Depakote Take To Get Out Of System?

Question: Hi I am an XXXX who took Depakote for 20 years I took myself off the drug 3 days ago I am feeling much better with less back spasms head nodding how long will it take to get this depakote out of my system ? does Depakote cause rocking of my body? when will I feel better? I have head nodding teeth chattering finger movements I pace a lot can clozapine cause these side effects? or can it be the Depakote? what should I do t stop all these movements?

They both can cause these symptoms, but more so with clozapine

Welcome to HCM. Sorry to read about your symptoms, these can be seen with either drug, and the fact that you are taking both obviously potentiates that chance. The clozapine however is classically related to these side effects. To stop these reducing the drug(s) to the lowest effective dose may help. I hope this helps. You may also not need the depakote, you need to talk to your doctor and see if it is worth trying to wean and stop the medications.
