doctor
Answered by Dr. Arun (1 hour later)
Brief Answer:
No chance of infection and of vaccination...

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXX ,
I understand your concern.

Touching the cloth of rabid animal wont cause you rabies and that even after 8 hours has no possibility of causing rabies and so there is no need to take further vaccine.

Rabies never spreads with cloth licked of rabid animal. It must be enetered in the nerves to cause its infectivity.

Rabies virus will not survive in the atmosphere for long period e.g. 8 hours in your case.

As there is no chance of infection there is no need to get vaccinated.

You can allay the fear of rabies and be tension free.

I will be happy to answer your further concern you can contact me here or you can contact me on bit.ly/DrArun
