Brief Answer:
Explained

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome

I appreciate your concern

Nitrofurantoin is used in treating UTI especially in infections caused by susceptible E coli strains.

If there is no improvement then urine culture sensivity testing should be done to target the microbe responsible. A renal ultrasound should also be advised to look for other causes.

Wishing you best of health

Thanks
