How Does Body Eleminate Metal Toxins?

default
Posted on Mon, 29 Sep 2014
Question: I want to know about the neuro related toxin or chemical substances.
I know there are alot of neuro toxin - natual toxin and chemical toxin and metal toxin, etc.
I want to know the mechanizme of toxin and want to know the mechanizem of detoxification.
I learned that toxin attach receptors and attack neuro cell or block the ion system... What if our liver or enzyme fail to detoxify the toxin? toxin die with cell together? or they move to the blood stream and stay in fat, or they attack over and over again the cell or receptor until people die...
Is there any fatal chemical substance that our body could not detoxify so although very little amount it could be lethal. (among chemical substance... not metal or not naturals) Thx.

Brief Answer:
There are different types of toxins.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted the details of your query. i agree with you that there are different types of brain/nerve toxins. Therefore, their effects also vary and the methods to detoxify them also vary.

Common metal toxins include lead, mercury, copper, iron, etc.

Copper gets deposited in brain and can lead to slowness, tremors, stiffness of body, etc. Medications such as penicillamine would help remove the copper from brain.

Iron also gets deposited in the brain and can cause brain damage. Iron can be removed by chelating therapy such as with desferrioxamine.

Lead and mercury can damage nerves in brain as well as nerves of hands and legs.

Then, there are toxins such as alcohol, which also damages nerves of brain, eye, legs, etc. Methyl alcohol can cause more damage and ethyl alcohol.

Snake venoms, scorpion stings, tick bite, etc also cause nerve toxicity resulting in paralysis. There are specific therapies for these.

If you would like to know about any specific toxin, please get back.

I hope my answer helps. Please get back if you have any follow up queries or if you require any additional information.

Wishing you good health,

Thank you for your anwer. May I ask one more question.
As for the chemical substances or compounds (toxin related), as far as I know all organ chemical compounds could be detoxified in liver and enzyme, are there any chemical toxins that could not be detoxified by liver or enzyme so very dangerous one it get into neuro system (except metal or plant or animals poison)

Brief Answer:
All are metabolized by liver or kidneys

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getting back.

Other than metal or plant or animals, all other toxins are metabolized by liver or enzymes or in some cases, excreted via kidneys.

Best wishes,
