How Does Hydrocortisone Remove Dark Spots On Lips?

Question: Hi. I am seeing dark spots on my lips and I was prescribed hydrocortisone 2.5. But i am not sure how this cream will help to remove the dark spots. I am using vaseline and lip balm but none of its working. Also, I am an ex-smoker and just recently quit smoking. What other medication can be prescribed? My next checkup is in about 4 months.

Usually these dark spots develop due to smoking. Its good that you have stopped smoking so,these spots would reduced them self with time.
Hydrocortisone is quite potent cream it would help you. Once you start using it you will see results in few weeks.
You can also ask your doctor for chemical peeling sessions for dark lips. There are peels which are applied over the lips and removed after 10-15 minutes. It will show you the effect very early.
