How Can Severe Swelling In The Legs Be Treated?

Question: Suddenly, the past few days, my right leg has swelled at least 2 times larger(even my toes).
It was a bit discolored, but seems better color today. My doc is on vacation...should I be concerned??

Yes, you should definitely consult a doctor.

The foot should be examined. Pulses should be checked in both limbs. A doppler ultrasound of the limbs (both arterial and venous doppler ) can be advised to rule out the possibility of any vascular insufficiency or a clot. Local examination to look for an infectious cause should also be carried out.
