Question: i have the problem of high anxiety levels and am taking daily pills. How to control the high levels of anxiety without medicines

My cholestrol ratio of total to HDL stands at 5.3. Is that OK?. If not, What i need to do to make it within acceptable levels?

I have palpitations also. Kindly advice

I need the complete lipid profile to see other cholesterols like ldl. Mostly to get cholesterol in normal range, we need to avoid fatty foods like ghee, butter, cream, cookies, cakes, pastries, sweets, etc. Regular exercise of 30 min a day also helpful. Decision about whether to take medicine or not, depends on LDL and triglycerides.

Palpitations can be related to anxieties, medicines or heart issues. You can do an ECG to rule out heart problems.

Thanks Dr. Y'day results are as under. Total cholestrol 190,hdl- 32, ldl- 128, vldl- 30, triglycerides- 185 mg/do.

Triglycerides are borderline high due to which total cholesterol is raised. You can take a low fat diet for 3-6 months and get lipid profile done again after that time.
