How Can I Stop Premenstrual Bleeding?

default
Posted on Tue, 24 Jun 2014
Question: Hi, I started taking birth control on around the of last month 25 but stopped on thursday. I then was prescribed provera and was supposed to take it on friday to stop my period coming sunday. However, i noticed bleeding two days ago and thought that it was my period so i freaked out and took the provera in hopes that it would stop. I'm now thinking that it was only premenstrual bleeding and not my actual period. the last pill i took was yesterday 7pm of provera. I NEED MY PERIOD TO BE GONE BY FRIDAY IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO? I HAVE BOTH PORTIA BIRTH CONTROL AND PROVERA AVAILABLE

Brief Answer:
Continue provera.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
Since the bleeding has already started the only thing that will help you is continue taking provera as prescribed. It will reduce the bleeding and the bleeding may stop in next 2-3 days.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.
