How Can Cough With Mucus And Cold In A Child Be Treated?

Question: My Son is suffering with Cough with a bit of mucus while cough, Recently he cured from Cold for that we have give Chericof Syrup. Now, cough has been started, no cold.

Hi,

In my opinion he is recovering as seems to have post viral reactive cough. We can withdraw Chericof syrup as he doesnt have runny nose now. Does he have difficulty breathing? How bad is his cough?

For mild cough he can be given cough lozenges like strepsil or Dabur cough syrup once in a while.

Yes we did withdraw Chericof now.

He is facing breathing problem while sleeping but not complete through out the sleep.

Cough is not too bad, Can say it is in starting stage.

He will recover soon. We can help him breathe through night by giving 1 tsp of Syrup Asthalin before sleeping for 2-3 days.

Otherwise no need to worry.
