CT enteroclysis should be done.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.

Thank you for the query.

Yes this is very correct treatment. However intestinal fistula should be ruled out as a possible reason of an abscess. To do that, enteroclysis CT should be done.
Yes you can have an abscess due to crohns disease.

Hope this helps.

Thats what can cause the abcess even after bowel resection? Thank you so much. You are very helpful. If it is ecoli- what antibiotics can treat that?

Answered by Dr. Grzegorz Stanko (1 hour later)
Brief Answer:
Ciprofloxacine can treat E.Coli.

Detailed Answer:
Fistula can cause an abscess. Bacterial infection can do that as well. Especially after bowels resection. E-Coli can be treated with Ciprofloxacine for example.

Thank you and possible surgical drainage. If the antibotics dont work. If they do a drainage typically how long would have to stay in the hospital? I really appreciate your kind assistance

Answered by Dr. Grzegorz Stanko (1 hour later)
Brief Answer:
Drainage should be done at first.

Detailed Answer:
Surgical drainage should be the first step ( I thought you have mentioned it has been already done). Drainage can be performed without admitting to the hospital or with few days stay (usually two days).
