How Can A Slow-growing Cancer Outside The Prostate Gland Be Treated?

Question: My son has prostate cancer but the biopsy shows that it it outside the prostate and attached, not inside. What is the difference? The doctor says his prostate will have to be removed. Is it more evasive than cancer in the prostate?

Should he take any treatment after surgery? Radiation?

Hello dear. I have gone through the details.

So if cancer grows from inside out to other organs, it is projecting outside. Further details can be told only after seeing the MRI report of the abdomen.

Usual treatment in ca-prostate is surgery, radiation or hormonal treatment or a combination of both.

Treatment will depend upon the stage. In his case, radiation may be required.
