How Can A Painful And Bruised Lump In My Armpit

Please type your question here... hi there, since Thursday i felt a lump in my right armpit, when i went to put underarm deodorant on thats when i felt it as it was sore and felt bruised when i put it on. When i went to touch it it felt soft but as i pushed it there was a bit of hardness. Every so often i feel a bit of pain under my arm where lump is and also aches down my right arm and around the lump. I saw a doctor in New Zealand the next day and he said it felt like a lymph node and was hard but XXXXXXX and that he tends to think its inflammation,I am visiting my own gp tomorrow to get it properly seen to. I am stressing out about it so much that it makes me feel sick to my stomach, i am scared im gonna get told i have cancer.

* As per my clinical experience, The painful lump in arm pit is inflammation
related secondary to some bacterial infection.
The cancer lymph nodes are by en large painless and multiple, so do not
panic for that aspect.
* My guidelines at present
- Keep the part clean with antiseptic liquid, dry.
- Avoid deoderant application at present.
- Apply ice pack 3 times a day.
- Consume anti inflammatory drug as ibuprofen ( 400 mg ) 3 times a day
after meals if no history of drug sensitivity.
- Just relax till you meet your doctor, who will give antibiotic course for
certain duration and you will be fine.
