Hi,

I will suggest you get it removed as soon as possible. This is not good for your health as a foreign body.

Thanks

Can an urgent care facility handle this or ER? Is there a chance my body would reject it like a splinter? I know sepsis is a risk, but are there others!? Im quite embarassed and would rather not admit! Thank u

Brief Answer:
It will probably lead to an infection!

Detailed Answer:
HI,

I understand you could be embarrassed but it is better to take responsibility than allow this damage your health. An ER should be able to handle this. If they are unsure of the exact site of the foreign body, they can do an x-ray to locate and remove. Sepsis is the major risk but continued pain and discomfort would be an everyday thing that no one really wants to be dealing with.

I hope this addresses your worry. I wish you well and await your updates.

Sir can an urgent care facility handle this extraction?

Answered by Dr. Chobufo Ditah (6 hours later)
Brief Answer:
Depends on the depth.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Modt should be able to do this except for special cases that might require more detailed assessment. If they are unable to do so after assessment, they will let you know and direct you to the right quarters for treatment.

I wish you well.

After 4 hrs in the ER they extracted it! After being cut and pushed then stitched, the med director came with another dr and an ultrasound! Tjey cut me back open and after awhile, finally got it!
