Brief Answer:
Kindly see detailed answer.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

I can understand your concern. As per your history, as you have repeated attacks of respiratory tract infection and urinary tract infection since February, causes may be repeated exposure to infection, poor nutrition, decreased immunity, dehydration, improper hygiene.

Let me know please whether do you have complaints of increased thirst, weight loss, fever, decrease appetite, blood in urine, abdominal pain, white discharge? Kindly follow up with detailed history.

Treatment mainly depends upon the underlying conditions. I'd suggest you to do chest x ray, complete blood count, blood sugar level, urine analysis, urine culture sensitivity, sputum examination after consultation. You may require blood culture sensitivity after consultation.

you can take syp. dextromethorphan, tab. flavoxate 200 mg along with antibiotics after consultation with your doctor. Take balanced diet. Maintain proper hygiene. Drink lot of fluids. Do saline or betadine gargles twice daily Kindly follow up if you have any query. Take care.

thank you for your advice, I am an AEMT and am repetitively exposed to infectious situations. I do not feel that I have bad hygiene, and I drink alot of water, always have. I am already taking the Flavoxate 200mg since i started the second course of antibiotics and those symptoms are resolved, but the other symptoms have returned. Although the spontaneous cough, sore throat, swollen glands, fatigue, and body/ joint aches, back/flank/abd'l pain and intermittent fevers & headaches are still occurring. In the 2 visits I've had a asked if there was a chance that this could be Mono, but no blood test has been obtained.
I have a dr appt in XXXXXXX and will ask to have this looked into further.
