Brief Answer:
There is no need for Surgery

Detailed Answer:
Hi
I saw the Attachment.
Upper GI endoscopy was done in 2017.It showed multiple erosions.Multiple erosions doesn't need Surgery.
H.pylori bacteria was positive. The course of H.pylori treatment is for 1 to 2 weeks.2 types of Antibiotics will be given.
Surgery is indicated only when there is obstruction for the passage of food.It can be due to.Chronic Duodenal ulcer which narrows gut lumen.
I would like to get him another Upper GI endoscopy now and take treatment accordingly.
He should avoid Spicy food, Carbonated drinks etc.
I prescribe Proton pump inhibitor like RABEPRAZOLE to my Patients with similar complaints.I will ask them to take 20mg once daily before breakfast for 2 weeks.
There is no need for life long therapy. If the symptoms subside, there is no need for further treatment.Lifestyle modifications can prevent recurrence of symptoms. He should be stress free.
Nothing to worry.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions,I will clarify further.
Wish him good health
Regards
