Question: Hi, my temperature was 100.5 degrees today, and my work had to send me home. I checked my temperature again and it’s currently 99.8 degrees. I haven’t been feeling feverish but I have been feeling very low on energy. I was advised by my work to consult a doctor to determine if I will still be okay to work, or if I should be tested for the COVID-19 virus. What should I do?

Brief Answer:
It can be a simple viral fever.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
It can be a simple viral fever and unlikely COVID, because COVID can have other associated symptoms like cough and sore throat.
As of now you can take over the counter available drugs like paracetamol for symptomatic relief. Drink plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated.
There is no indication to test for COVID, if you are from a hotspot or suspected contact with a COVID patient, testing may be required.
Hope I have answered your query.
Thanks
