Question: Hi, my daughter is 128 cm/11 years. Her doctor has advised growth hormones injections - Novo Norditropin or Pfizer Genotropin..I have 2 questions- is it safe treatment and has successful results ? Secondly, which injection is better - Novo or Pfizer ? Thanks!

I can understand your concern regarding to your daughter.
Syntetic Growth hormone is considered a safe treatment as there are many years experience with it.
Of course there is a risk for side effects ( the most dangerous cancer tumors) but the risk is very very low and making a balance of proffits and side effects, usually it weights to proffits
If growth hormone defficiency is confirmed by her physician and has indications for growth hormone treatment, usually the treatment is efficient but it is very individual.
Anyway it is evaluated after 1 year of treatment.
If she does not profit after 1 year, than the treatment is stopped.
Regarding to the brand of the synthetic GH, it depends on clinic experience. There are clinics that are happy with Norditropin, there are clinics that prefer Genotropin.
You should take into consideration your physicians experience.
