Question: Hi, just was curious about a white spot on my gum that is above my tooth. I've had it for years. But was just curious about it.

I read your query and here is my advice.

I see the photo you attached and it looks that white spot you are having on your gum is nothing to be concerned about.
It can be either a calcium deposit or protein deposit. Most probably protein deposit in mucosal lining of gums.
They are not something to be concerned and usually happen in babies and disappear on their own. Probably it can go away by itself.
Other than that your teeth and gums look perfectly healthy.
