Question: Hi im scared, im scheduled to leave for Disney in a week well 8 days. My symptoms are 10% pheo which is why both the GP and lung doctor suggested it. I have all symptoms they couldn't diagnose for years but when they realized i actually don't have high blood pressure its usually normal or low and then raises over a 100 points really rapidly, red flushing, palpitations dizzy, overheat burning, difficulty breathing etc, they sent me for 24 hour urine and repeated again both times the norepinephrines were about 600. Im calling this morning for endocrinologist but am now nervous about next week and if im going to be ok in Disney with daughter, all paid. I usually bite metoprolol, take 4 baby aspirin and dramamine and est ice when attacks come to keep me from going to hospital anymore.

Brief Answer:
Emergency

Detailed Answer:
This is a matter which must be dealt with urgently.

I strongly advise going to the Emergency Room for care. Taking metoprolol is not a good idea at all if you turn out to have a pheo. It can be dangerous, even life threatening just like the condition itself.

You must be attended to immediately. An endocrinologist must quickly arrange for further tests such as a CT scan or MRI of the adrenal glands.

When I see someone like you I would admit the patient in the hospital under close supervision and promptly arrange for definitive treatment which is typically surgery to remove the source of the excessive 'adrenaline' type of hormones.
