Question: Hi doctor,
I'm 30 years old male, heterosexual. today I did a very bad thing that I will regret my whole life.
I went to a message center where a lady from Thailand (i don't know about her health status). performed massage for me.
She then performed a body to body massage while we were both bare naked.
she started massaging my penis and after a while, she started rubbing my penis against her vagina (no insertion happened). the tip of my penis didn't clear touch the inside of her vagina, however she was rubbing her vagina against my penis for atleast 10-30 seconds and she did that twice, so i would say a total of 1 minute maximum if not less.
then she gave me a hand job where i ejaculated.
of course during all this time there was no condom used.
i'm no so paranoid and worried the risks of HIV for such encounter.
my questions.
1. would rubbing penis against vagina posses a high risk of HIV transmission if she was HIV+?
2.do i need to do HIV test immidiately?!
3. when is the best time to do all STI and STD tests? can i do some earlier than the rest? which ones have earliest detection that i can do the earliest?
i'm really so worried and don't know what to do.
4.should i consider prophylaxis treatment? are these prophylaxis treatments available over the coutntser?

Brief Answer:
There is a chance of HIV or other STD transmission, follow the advice below

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I understand your concern.

There is a small chance of HIV or other STD transmission through this sexual contact. I would recommend to do the HIV test at least four weeks after the exposure.

Regarding the STD tests I recommend the following period.
- 2 weeks for gonorrhea and chlamydia,
- 1 week to 3 months for syphilis.

The prophylaxis treatment is not an over the counter treatment. It consists in a short-term antiretroviral treatment to reduce the likelihood of HIV infection. It is not effective if the treatment starts 72 hours after exposure.

Hope I have answered your query.
