Brief Answer:
Rivotril is OK for heart patients

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX

I am sorry to hear about your father's troubles.

The bloating, burping and radiating pain could be many things. It is good that the upper endoscopy and CT did not reveal any serious disease.

If he has been tested for Helicobacter pylori (e.g. by a breath test) I suggest he should. Bacterial overgrowth or food intolerance may also play a role. Further, gallstone disease has not been ruled out, as I read your father's history.

So, I suggest the following in chronological order:
Ultrasound of the upper abdomen to detect gallstones.
Breath test for Helicobacter pylori.
The food diary to evaluate if there are certain food items that cause this problem (e.g. wheat, dairy products, etc.).

P.S. Rivotril is OK for heart patients.

Hope this helps.
