Question: Hi Sir/Madame,

I am a 63 old female and have been suffering from severe pain in the thigh and waist area since around 2 months specifically on the right leg. A severe tickling sensation is experienced while attempting to walk for few steps which makes walking even for basic essential activities very difficult. I need support of walls and other objects for balancing while attempting to walk even a few steps.

I have diagnosed myself with MRI of lumbo sacral spine (attached printed report). Kindly advice if I need to upload the scanning report as well.

I am presently consuming the following medicines:
Amaryl 1 mg(Twice daily)
Glycomet 500mg(Twice daily)
Gabapin 300mg(Twice daily)
Prothiaden 25mg (Once daily)
Volveran sr 100 (Twice daily)
Maxirich (Once daily)

It will be very helpful if you can please advice if any change in medication is required. Also if you can please explain the situation for my persistent pain.

Best regards
doctor

Hi there

I have reviewed the attached report.

There is multiple level disc disease. This can cause mild nerve compression. It does not need surgery right now. An epidural steroid injection can be given for relief in the spine. I suggest physiotherapy, avoid bending forward or lifting heavy objects, application of warm wet packs and warm showers.
