Hi Sir, I Had Unprotected Sex With A Spa Massuse

Question: Hi Sir,

I had unprotected sex with a spa massuse and after 3 days got viral fever. I got the massuse checked for hiv on 8th day with hiv1/2 + p24 combo test from drlal pathlabs which came negative. I got the same test (hiv1/2+p24 combo from drlal pathlabs) for myself on 3rd, 15th, 28th and 32nd days and all came negative.

I also got a RT PCR test on 16th day which included ELSIA 4th generation test and was not detected.

Can I consider myself hiv negative? Please reply as I am under a lot of anxiety and stress.

As symtoms, I had bad throat for about a week and upset stomach for 10-12 days which I think might be because of anxiety and stress during this time..

Brief Answer:
You can consider as HIV negative....

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

In this context where you are aware of HIV status of the partner (HIV negative), you can be rest assured about HIV. Furthermore the various tests done on you also are negative. Therefore you can be rest assured about HIV. Consider yourself as HIV negative.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need clarifications.

Brief Answer:
Test are reliable...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Drlal pathlab's are reputed and certified laboratory and the results are reliable. You had your partner tested and the result is negative. Hence you need not be feared about HIV infection. Further multiple tests done after weeks of exposure are too negative. Therefore you can put all fears to rest.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need clarifications.

Would you still recommend me to get retested after sometime or there is no need for retesting as these tests confirms my hiv status?
