Hi. Noticed A Pea-sized Axillary Lymph Node A Week Ago.

Question: Hi. Noticed a pea-sized axillary lymph node a week ago. Urgent care doc gave me cephalexin just in case of infection. My only other issue is CRAZY itching both underarms. No real redness except when I scratch like crazy and leave red marks. Unsure if this might be yeast-related since I work out a lot and stay damp. My lymph node has changed very little since since starting the antibiotics 6 days ago. Might be a fraction smaller. I did have a diagnostic 3D mammogram last month (I was having pain) and I got a good report but I cannot stop googling axillary lymph node. Could you please advise? I do suffer from crazy health anxiety. Thank you!

Brief Answer:
Blood tumour marker test ca 15.3

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Since the axillary lymph node is very small and you have taken antibiotics for it and mammogram is normal, nothing to worry.

I do not think you are having cancer.

You need to do blood tumor marker test ca 15.3

Regarding itching it could be fungal infection for which u need to take drug like fluconazole orally with the advise of your doctor
