Hi, My Wife Is Having Gastric Problem. She Gets Very

Question: Hi,

My wife is having gastric problem. She gets very frequent burps followed by vomtings some times. This problem will be observed quite often ( may be once in 20 days or so). This problem is first observed around 1.5 year ago. Diagnosis shows that she has gall stones/sludge. CBC, LFT reports are normal. So doctor has recommended surgery for removal of gall bladder. Surgery happened around an year ago and after that it was fine for around 6 months. But again from past couple of months, she is getting the same problem once in a while. Gatsirc(burps) is getting reduced if she take NexPro RD 40.

But I dont understand why the problem is seen quite regulary ? Is it because of food sensitive ? If so, is it suggestable to take NexPro RD 40 each time she gets the problem ? She got ultra sound scan as well around 5 months back and it was fine.

Any suggestions ?

Brief Answer:
It could be due to Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)

Detailed Answer:
Hi
As per your description, she might be having Gastroesophageal reflux disease.
Gallstones may also lead to vomiting. As Gallbladder is removed,it is excluded.
Next comes one of the commonest cause of Burps, Vomiting i.e.GERD.
It could be due to Diet, Medicines,Stress etc.
Ask her to avoid spicy food, drugs like pain killers,Iron tablets,Cool drinks etc.
She should be stress free
She can take NEXPRO RD40mg when ever she gets the problem.
I prefer an Upper GI endoscopy for a clue.
Nothing to worry.
Please consult a Gastroenterologist, get Endoscopy done and follow his/her prescription.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions,I will clarify further.
Wish her good health.
Regards

Hi,

Even we have done upper GI endoscopy around a year ago, for the same problem.
Please find the report attached. Please let me know your findings.

Besides this, I have a question. Around twice or thrice my wife got small amount of blood in stool. This was not regular, I think last happened more than 1.5 month ago. I think that was happening when she getting loose motions. No other symptoms but would like to know what could be the reasons for this ?

Brief Answer:
She is having small Hiatus hernia

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Endoscopy is normal except for small Hiatus hernia.Due to this, she might have developed Abdominal pain, Burps, Vomiting etc.
You should consult a Surgical Gastroenterologist and proceed further.
Blood in loose stool is called Dysentery. It is due to contaminated food or water. It is a type of infection.Appropriate antibiotic will control the disease.
Nothing to worry.
Hope I answered your question.
Regards
