Question: Hi, I've been having quite a few symptoms lately. I sweat a lot as soon as I start moving, even if it's just a gentle walk in to town for example. Hot days I'm pretty much pouring with sweat. Also feel like my libido is low, I don't get random erections or things like that. I did some private blood tests and got the results back. I will add some links, my results are on the left and the reference range is on the right. I was just wondering if you could offer some advice please? It reads like my TSH is too high and free test is low. How do I go about getting this sorted out? Thanks so much.

Brief Answer:
about underactive thyroid and low testosterone;

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for asking!
I have gone through your concern and the attached reports.

A high TSH is suggestive for underactive thyroid (in most of the cases caused by Hashimoto thyroiditis, do also check antiTPO and antiTg antibodies to confirm it).

A high TSH may be also the case if a low testosterone (in your scenario) is manifested with the symptoms you reported.

But I can notice also a low FSH that suggests for pituitary disorders. A pituitary MRI would be if help to exclude other pathologies except for underactive thyroid.

So, you need to see an endocrinologist in a person who will rule out other pathologies and start treatment for underactive thyroid.

Hope the information will help, feel free to ask further...

Best wishes,
Dr.Mirjeta
