Brief Answer:
Need to take supplements

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I understand your concerns.

Following is my reply:

1) Your hemoglobin is low which means you have anemia. Upload your reports and medicine list so that I am better able to help.

2) Anemia is a common problem in pregnancy due to increasing iron demand from baby. Please increase your iron tablets.

3) If iron tablets are in correct dose get blood electrophoresis test done to identify if there is any blood disorder affecting iron in blood or if there are iron absorption issues.

4) See a hematologist for the same.

5) Tongue lesions or burning is due to anemia, hypoproteinemia ( less protein in blood) and vitamin deficiencies ( Especially Vitamin B complex).

6) Start taking protein rich diet and multivitamin supplements ( especially Vit B12) with prescription of your doctor.

7) these medications should cure you.

Brief Answer:
Vitamin B Complex deficiency

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for sending reports. I saw the reports.

1) These tongue lesions are due to vitamin deficiency ( Especially Vitamin B12).

2) I suggest you take Injections of Vitamin B 12 once every week for 4 weeks with your doctor's prescription.

3) Vitamin B Complex tablets once daily for 3 months and also iron tablets once a day for 3 months.

4) These lesions I see are tongue / oral ulcers which will be healed by measures i have described above. All medicines can be obtained with help of your doctor.

Let me know if you need anymore help.

Regards

Hi doctor, thankyou for your last response.

How can you tell I am deficient in Vitamin B12? My recent bloods were not tested for it .

I last had a Vitamin B12 injection in March of this year .

Brief Answer:
Tongue lesions and symptoms

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

The tongue lesions and symptoms you have are typical of vitamin B 12 deficiency.

Since you had injection in March you need to repeat it at frequent interval to prevent such complications.
