Hi, I Recently Just Had Sex With My Partner About

Question: Hi, I recently just had sex with my partner about two days ago and I noticed a change the next day when I used the bathroom. After I was done I noticed a burning sensation where the inside of my labia is. After I wiped myself, I caused more irritation and it caused me to bleed a small amount of blood. I looked down there and I could see that my labia is swollen and red. There are also a couple of red bumps that are at the area where it is swollen at. I don’t know what to do, I know that my partner and I had rough sex but this has never happened to me before. I did try a antibiotic pain relieving cream and this did help lower the irritation. But I am still concerned.

Brief Answer:
Regarding genital lesions

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to ask a doctor service. I have gone through your query and I have noted your concern.

Genital lesions after a sexual encounter could be a sign of an STD- most commonly Herpes Genitalis, if it happened within a couple of days of sex. I request you to kindly upload a few Images of the area with red bumps in "Reports Section" so that I am able to have a look and guide you accordingly. Also let me know if the sexual encounter was protected or was it unprotected?

Hope o assist you further. take care

It was unprotected sex, but it was rough sex as well. There was not much lubrication, the only lubrication was my vaginal fluid, so I was beginning to think that this could have been a possibility.

Brief Answer:
Regarding genital sores

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
I have viewed the Image. It could be just frictional or trauma, because it is not clear cut in this Image, hence i would like you to test for genital herpes after 4-6 weeks and in case you develop more genital sores in and around the neighboring area you may visit a local doctor for a confirmatory diagnosis or contact me for a review.
Take care
