Question: Hi, I read the below article and am a bit scared for lung cancer...because I feel like I do have swollen glands in my neck.

https://www.yahoo.com/now/a-shocking-diagnosis-how-this-harmless-symptom-turned-out-to-be-cancer-lung-0000.html

I have also attached a screenshot of exams that I have done that show 'tree thing' and nodules, etc.

Please look, thanks

Hi doctor,

Yes, chronic cough on and off for ten years, occasional chest discomfort. No smoking at all and no family history.

No, don't think so....but what do you think of the scans I sent? The tree thing? Lung nodules?

Brief Answer:
It is due to post infectious or post inflammatory.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your follow up question on Ask a doctor forum.
I can understand your concern.
The findings on your CT scan are mostly due to previous lung infection or lung inflammation.
I don't think any active lung infection is causing these.
So in my opinion, repeat CT scan after 6 months would be more useful.
If nodules are static or decreasing infection size and number then no need to worry.
But if they are worsening (into size and number) then further evaluation should be make.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
