Question: Hi! I m having constipation for last 3 to 4 months. When I take a laxative then I pass a motion. Wat is the reason

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
It could be a functional constipation arising as a part of low fibre content in the diet.
As a first line management you can take laxatives like cremaffin for symptomatic relief. You can also take prucalopride ( presmovac) tablet one Mg at bed time, include more fibre rich foods in the diet.
If the symptoms persist you have to go for a colonoscopy to rule out any mass tumor in the bowel. You can seek help from a gastroenterologist also.
