Question: Hi I m Neha . 38 years old living in XXXXXXX XXXXXXX Have 2 children younger one is of 4.5 months. Came to Kashipur 1 month back. After coming here hair fall started. Hair are falling at such such a rapid rate from root that even if I put hand on my hair whole bunch is coming. It’s a small town. Today Went to a doctor here who prescribed me monovate lotion and klosh tablets. Please help me. I have tried many home remedies. In XXXXXXX there was not such problem. I also want to ask should we shampoo daily? If I comb very much hair falls

Thanks for the query.
Monovate is a steroid and has no role in controlling hair fall.
Klosh is a multivitamin tablet and can be used.
Apply 5 % minoxidil lotion twice daily for atleast 3 months to get good results.
This hairfall might be associated with change of place.
Relax and use the medication for 3 months.
You will get relief.
You can use shampoo and comb as usual. These are not much related to hairfall.

Dear sir.

Thanks. Will take this also. But I feel that monovate lotion somehow reduced the rate of hair fall. May I know is it true that we should wash our hair daily with shampoo since in dirty scalp hair fall increases. Could you please suggest some good shampoo. Can I apply oil in hair or not ? Nd any special oil and for how much time I should keep oil . And sir can I go for hair spa or keratin treatment? I feel untying my hair in a pony tail is also helping me. And sir when I apply monovate lotion it is creating little heat also. Is it harmful? Sir are their any other good medicines for hair health? Can I go with omega 3 capsules. Kindly guide me

Thanks for the follow up.
Monovate is a steroid so it might give you brief relief but in long term it will harm you.
Washing or oiling hair has no relation to hair fall.
You can wash as per your wish but you must wash at least once in a week.
You can use 8 X shampoo.
Keratin therapy can increase the shin of your hair but cannot control hair fall.
Minoxidil is the best medicine so continue with that.
Omega 3 capsules can be of some help, they have no side effects so you can take them.

Hello sir. Thanks for answering my questions so patiently. Sir it is mentioned on the bottle that I should use only 1 ml over bald patch so total 2 ml not more than that in a day But my hair are falling from whole head. How should I use only 6 sprays(1 ml) at a time. I tried to use but only little scalp could be covered. Kindly clarify.
Should I exceed the spray limit ?
Sir please also refer me some good biotin capsules also as u m not getting klosh capsules here. Sir if I want to apply oil can I apply hair oil over the minoxidil lotion.
Earlier when I was using monovate lotion there was a sensation and heat over scalp. Also feeling sensations with minoxidil lotion. Is it normal. Sir I also saw some immediate hair growth after using that monovate lotion though but yes I have stopped that completely now.

Minoxidil is alcohol based and hence it is absorbed over the scalp rapidly.
You can divide your scalp in four quadrants by parting your hairs and apply two sprays in each quadrant directly on the scalp and not on the hair, so in all 8 sprays in morning and 8 in evening should be sufficient.
You can take follihair tablet daily in night.
It's good that you stopped monovate.
Just relax Minoxidil might take some time to show results but it will definitely work.

Hi sir

Sir today morning a lot of hair fall happened again. I am scared is this medicine will take too much time. Will my lost hair will regrow again ? Hair loss is visible now. I m very stressed. And it is so weird that while taking monovate hair fall stopped and on stopping the lotion again it started . Sir I also asked how to apply oil. Can I apply oil over the medicine at night and how frequently?

Just relax.
You will not loose all the hair.
Hair grows in cyclical pattern.
Once a hair falls, a new hair replaces it at the same place.
Monovate being a steroid stops the hair cycle for a brief period of time but when you stop it hair will fall in excessive quantities.
There is no requirement to apply oil as it is not going to stop hair fall.
If possible upload a photograph of your scalp so I can assess your condition better.
