Brief Answer:
Seems to be nerve pinching at the cervical spine

Detailed Answer:
Hi Tbrandano,
Thanks for the query. I understand your concern.

Your symptoms of pressure behind the head, neck &behind ears. (without any pain or sprain, sinus problem, nausea, triggering noise or symptoms, sensitivity to strong light.)... is suggestive of nerve pain.
The possible cause of such pain seems to be cervical spondylitis. It leads to compression or pinching of the nerve root(while it arises from the cervical spine) that supplies the affected parts. Some times it can have numbness, tingling sensation or pain too.

You should take rest..keep the neck extended and avoid bending. You need an MRI of the cervical spine to pinpoint the site of the problem.

Home management would be a hot or cold pack to relieve pain. Continue Advil for the next 2-3 days.

In case of no relief OR if the problem gets more severe... You should consult an orthopedic doctor for physical examination &needful investigations followed by specific management (local or systemic injections, physiotherapy and/or surgery in few cases).

I hope that helps. Any follow up query is welcome.
Thanks.
