Hi. I Have Pretty Bad Anxiety . I Have Been

Question: Hi. I have pretty bad anxiety. I have been to the ER twice in the last two weeks. I had an EKG twice and it came out perfect both times. I had a chest X-ray about a month ago. That was good too. I also had complete blood panel and Urinate test a number of times and my numbers were good. Today, about 8 hrs ago I started to feel like my chest was tight and later on and off my jaw aches. I have bad indigestion. I can feel it in my throat and I keep burping. Am I having a long heart attack? Should I go to the ER? Would something have happened more by now if it’s a heart attack? How can I tell the difference between a heart attack and a panic attack?

Brief Answer:
please go to ER & get investigated.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Laceytronnes,
Thanks. for the query.I understand your concern.
Yes...though symptoms of anxiety &heart attack are slimilar, one can differenciate them by their typical charactors.
-Pain in anxiety is sharp &sudden, in middle chest region, lasts for 20-30 minutes maximally &follows psychological stress.
-Pain in heart attack comes suddenly in middle part of chest,it is more squeezing or pressing form. Many a times it comes after physical stress &tends to get aggravated. It can be associated with high blood pressure.
Such attack is due to cardiac ischemia &is accompanied by breathlessness.
*Anxiety can cause heart attack &heart attack can cause anxiety.
- Indigestion &, associated gases can simulate symptoms of heart attack, bit pain in jaw line creates suspicion of heart attack.
*Due to the serious health effect heart attack has...though you are connecting it to digestive problems..I would advise attending ER to get EKG & (if indicated)stress test done to exclude or diagnose heart attack..followed by needful treatment.
I hope that answers your query.Any follow up query is welcome.
Thanks.
