Hi, I Have A Receding Lower Jaw And I'd Like

Question: Hi, I have a receding lower jaw and I'd like to bring it forward. Is there a way to do this without surgery? I'm 28.

Whenever I extend my spine and bring the lower jaw forward my profile looks ok but my teeth won't fit together anymore.

Brief Answer:
Consult orthodontist.

Detailed Answer:
Hi there

Thanks for writing in.

If you want to bring your lower jaw forward then you use headgear. Orthodontist would be the beat person to guide you further. If its slight movement then it could be done with out surgery. But if needs large movement then it might need surgical repositioning. Again orthodontist and oral surgeon advice is needed.

Thanks
